Definitely, just make sure the mesh is a fine mesh that won't let debris enter the motor.

@MSF_middles-_- I got the DasMikro v5 for 18 bucks on aliexpress. Just have to search for deals. They shipped it fast. Was here in about 10 days. I'm sure any gyro is better than the stock one in the rx7 anyways.

I got it on aliexpress. It's the cheapest place I found it. Paid under 50 dollars shipped. Search LDRC and you will find some listing's.

metal gears meshed pretty good in mine. It's a rudimentary style gearbox with no bearings so eventually if you don't grease the shaft the gears are spinning on then you may develop some gear mesh play and strip gears. If you are destroying the middle gear meshing with the big output gear then you possibly need a new gearbox housing. If its the gear meshing with the motor pinion then you might be able to move the motor a little to get a better mesh.

if your using a different transmitter that has a thrid channel you can plug the gain wire to a channel that you can control.

@MooseRidez I was on aliexpress and bumped into a listing that showed the brass gears and supposedly a harden steel set as well. I'm just scared the brass gears will chew themselves up. I'm gonna run plastic and turn down the endpoints to get just a tiny bit more wheel speed than stock and see how they hold up.

a lot louder. Just pack the gearbox with grease and it should quit it down some.

I want to get more grease in there, but before I get that all packed, I wanted to make sure these gears are up to the task.

advertised as a 1:18 but to me its closer to 16 or 17 scale. it's bigger than the 1899 gtr. They use the same chassis so scale is going to be a little off unfortunately.

That's out the box performance for the miata and gtr in this video. They are way better than the electronics and gyro in the 1801, 1802, 1803.

To me if it has parts available to fix it then its hobby grade. Some people are just brand snobs. Took a cheap chinese 3s rc to a rc meet and I smoked half the big expensive rigs there. Specially if they ran stock RCs. I just Run That RC if its good no matter the brand.

I bought the pink and I'm waiting on it. Honestly if it looks more salmon than pink I'll like it more than the aqua :D. Technically they call the color "cherry blossom". Honestly a white or black livery on it and I bet it would look cool. I'm curious if other 1/18 bodies would fit

I’ve flown Ldrc drones for a couple years. All good quality, so it doesn’t me with this Miata.

@@clean1566 Good to know. Just getting back into rc the last 3 months. Had my eyes on one of these but my money went to my 1/10 scale. Watched some videos. Lot of positives about it. It’s always better to have the thing in your hands. Happy it comes with the bigger controller.

unfortunately not. Tiny wheels that are on it are as big as you want to go.(had to remove fender liner)
